This small curved deck was covered with pre-stained fir decking to accent the rest of the house. The curved bench was also built out of the same fir decking but turned on edge to both create the strength needed to span from one support to the next as well as make it flexible enough to match the curve of the deck. The stair treads were also extended out an extra foot so the owner could place plants on the steps.
